There are halls of fame for baseball, football, basketball, hockey, and almost any other sport you can name. But the greatest of all such halls is the one that until now has not existed: a World Sports Hall of Fame honouring the greatest athletes of all time, all sports, and all nations.

The best ideas are the ones that make you say, upon hearing them, "Why didn't I think of that?" We invite you to join us in creating this new hall of fame by sharing with us your ideas of who ought to be in, which sports have been sadly neglected, and what great moments and accomplishments are worthy of memorial.

Tour the site, still in development, and let us know what you think. Find out more about the founding group behind the World Sports Hall of Fame (WSHF). Suggest how we might improve things. Join us for our inaugural banquet and its accompanying induction ceremony. Make this YOUR first stop for information about sports history and the world's greatest athletes.

Our mission is simply to build mutual respect for national cultures through the international love of sport. The WSHF has been established as a not-for-profit institution that will honour, collect, preserve, exhibit, and research outstanding sports achievements. By honouring the greatest athletes in the world, past and present, the WSHF will bring attention to the single activity that links all mankind in passionate interest and good feeling. The WSHF will also serve as a supporting body for national and regional sports archives, websites, and recreational organizations for purposes of education and community development.
